Surprise attendance at the BBC Intro day party
Having spent the last few weeks manically organising, and moving house, I had one last visit to Reading to finish the task in hand last Saturday. Because my journey was taking me past Little Venice, I decided to take my X-T1 along with me for the walk. Shopping of at the fantastic Waterside Café for lunch, I spotted on Facebook that today was indeed the BBC Introducing summer day party! Result!
And what a fantastic line up of live music……
First up was Martha Roper, acoustic set outside in the glorious Reading sunshine.
Shortly followed by Marisa Rodriguez, also an acoustic set…. Oh no… she’s brought a whole band with her + guest vocals!
Yep, that’s not Marisa, that’s the bassist.
Now inside to keep the music away from the neighbours… (if they want to listen they need to come in!) with Area 52.
Followed by another lively Reading favourite, The Military Arcade
…now this is the
pint point when I was thinking I should be getting home, and also the liquid payment for my services was kicking in! ……next up was Mickey & the Milkshake… and you can see this act, and the full set over here… FULL ALBUM.
(n.b. – This was all done with the X-T1 Firmware 3.11 as I’d not updated my camera to V4.0 until the night after…. so my thoughts on V4.0 are still to come.)
