Having spent the last few weeks manically organising, and moving house, I had one last visit to Reading to finish the task in hand last Saturday. Because my journey was taking me past Little Venice, I decided to take my X-T1 along with me for the walk. Shopping of at the fantastic Waterside Café for lunch, I spotted on Facebook that today was indeed the BBC Introducing summer day party! Result!
And what a fantastic line up of live music……
First up was Martha Roper, acoustic set outside in the glorious Reading sunshine.

Shortly followed by Marisa Rodriguez, also an acoustic set…. Oh no… she’s brought a whole band with her + guest vocals!
The London Blues Festival had a mini 2 day event in Reading at the Purple Turtle, and I took this opportunity to test out the X-T1.
I do a lot of event photography, especially bands, in low/bad oddly coloured light, and often cramped venues. Which is actually a lot of fun. My kit has been a DSLR with a fast prime for many years now, and it has been working just fine. But recently I discovered the Fujifilm X series, and was excited to try out the X-T1 Compact System Camera.
